Some brands grow through advertising. Others grow through relationships. My collaboration with Žufaňa belongs firmly to the second category.

Žufaňa is one of those rare brands that people do not simply buy from. They actively seek it out, recommend it to friends and become part of its community. Built around food, hospitality and genuine human connection, it has gradually evolved from a local bistro into a recognised lifestyle and gastro brand with a remarkably loyal audience.

Over the years, I have worked with the founders as a strategic advisor, communication partner and trusted sounding board for important decisions. My role is not focused on day-to-day marketing but on helping navigate key moments in the life of the brand — growth, change, new projects, communication challenges and long-term direction.

The collaboration has also extended beyond strategy. I contributed to the development of visual content and as a photographer I was involved in the production of two Žufaňa cookbooks, documenting recipes and helping translate the atmosphere of the brand into print.

What makes this partnership special is the level of trust behind it. The best strategic work rarely begins with campaigns. It begins with conversations. Understanding what makes a brand unique, what should never change and where there is room to evolve.

Working with Žufaňa continues to remind me that strong brands are built much like strong relationships: through consistency, authenticity and a genuine understanding of the people they serve. Some organisations sell products. The most memorable ones create a sense of belonging. Žufaňa is a true lovebrand.
